Dark Light

Red Poem

by Maged Elgendy

Apple saddened cried
Red Red beauty, now holed

“O sweet mother tree,
why has the worm flawed me?”

“O Red Red beauty,
but can’t you see?”

Thou pluck blessing
from thy messing.”

“From your red glee
their bellies be free
and you shall seed into me.”
