Sohila Khaled is a children's book illustrator based in Egypt. Since childhood, she has dreamed of becoming an artist. After graduating from pharmacy school, Sohila decided to pursue her lifelong passion for art—a decision she considers the best she has ever made.
Since 2018, Sohila has collaborated with various regional and international publishers on picture books and numerous creative projects. She enjoys experimenting with different mediums and techniques, including collage and watercolor pencils, often working within a limited color palette. As an Arab-Egyptian artist, Sohila incorporates her rich cultural heritage into her unique artistic style, bringing a distinct perspective to her work.
When she’s not drawing, Sohila enjoys caring for her plants, reading books, petting cats, stargazing, and sipping tea.
