In Rowayat’s Issue 4, the featured artist was Rana Ashraf, a then twenty-year-old budding artist who believes that rebellion is human nature and that everything can be absorbed and harmonized in music. She writes as much as she draws and is always torn between both forms. She finds herself in fiction, unnoticed places and stories, science, movies, nature, books, the sky, poetry, and the color green. She connects to a lot of different kinds of art, but abstract surrealism is where she floats happily.
