I try my best to reject
the delusion
but when I see
your airports,
officers,
and road signs,
I start to believe
the myth of nation states
The earth is no one’s
I scream, shackled by the feeling
that I do not belong.
But one day,
you will have to answer
to every creature you enslaved,
And as the ground breaks beneath
the trees will ask:
“Why did you build a highway through my mother’s home?”
