Art is considered a tool for self-expression and stress relief, so we use it to connect and communicate with the children in the refugee camps.
The session begins with interactive activities and rhythmic movements to break the ice and get closer to the children.
Then, we tell them the story “Laila Leaves Home,” which simulates the idea of displacement from home.
After that, the children automatically start talking about their own experiences of leaving home and what they saw during that time. Next, the children draw using simple art supplies because of the scarcity of art materials and libraries.
The results are drawings that show the children’s reality under the shadow of genocide and document the violations that the children face in our country.
يعتبر الفن أداة من أدوات التعبير عن الذات وتخفيف الضغط لذا نقوم باستخدامه كوسيلة للتواصل مع الأطفال في المخيّمات، يبدأ اللقاء بأنشطة حركية تفاعلية وايقاعية من خلالها نقوم بكسر الجمود والتقارب مع الأطفال، ثم نقوم برواية قصة “ليلى تغادر البيت” والتي تحاكي فكرة النزوح من البيت ليبدأ بعدها الأطفال تلقائياً بالحديث عن نزوحهم وما شاهدوه أثناء مرورهم بالتجربة، ثم يقوموا الأطفال بالرسم باستخدام الأدوات الفنية البسيطة بسبب شح الأدوات والمكتبات فكانت النتيجة عبارة عن رسومات تحاكي واقع الأطفال تحت ظل الابادة، وتوثّق صوراً للانتهاكات التي يتعرّض لها الطفل في بلادنا.
